Belkin Intros TuneBase FM Car Power-Dock for iPod Mini

Hot on the heels of the iRock announcement, Belkin has released its own new FM transmitter, the TuneBase FM. Except this one is gunning for the iPod mini crowd, which is of course a huge market!

Drawing on past experience, and recent releases of similar in car power docks, Belkin may have a winning combination with the new TuneBase FM for the iPod mini. It’s a car power adapter for your iPod mini, except with the snaking neck and a snap-in dock-like base it acts as a dock/mount as well. Add into that their FM transmitter technology, and now you’ve got a car charger and FM transmitter in one, without any weird extra cabling!

The Belkin TuneBase for the iPod mini looks like it supports the entire FM band with digital tuning, plus four programmable slots/buttons give you instant access to your best saved frequencies. Coming November 22, 2004 for $79.99, this is one to for the holidays if you have an iPod mini owner (who also owns a car!) on your list.
